A Tidy Life
You strangle what you can’t control.
No living thing survives your grip.
Your life is draped in plastic.
No dust, no germs, no guests,
allowed to linger.
No sloppy feelings interfere
with your well-oiled plans.
So remote, you won’t be missed.
Your death will not be noticed.
