POETRY BY RACHEL GLEN

funeral

with no cards

                      flowers

                                  cups of tea

sitting

          on the floor

                             alone

                                       I cried for you

for everything

                      you had

                                    you gave

                                                    we lost

in the silence

                      you left

                                   in the world

the same song

                       repeats

                                      with the same roads

people I forgot were here

                                       stood for you

                                                            together

I wished

               you were shown

                                          the day

                                                         we cried for you

Though I seem odd,

7thHeaven's odd, 2,
